Group Company: Galaxy Surfactants Limited (GSL) Designation: Office Location: Jhagadia Position description: BE Mechanical engineer having background of Project engineering with Chemical Process Industry Primary Responsibilities: **1. Project Execution Site Coordination** Responsible for: • Erection and installation of static and rotary equipment such as reactors, pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, and related process equipment. • Fabrication and installation of metallic, non-metallic, and lined piping systems. • Coordination and supervision of structural fabrication and erection activities. Coordination with: • Civil, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams. • Vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution. **2. Drawing Specification Compliance** Work with: • General Arrangement (GA) Drawings. • Piping Instrumentation Diagrams (PID). • Process Flow Diagrams (PFD). • Isometric Drawings. • Plant Layout Drawings. Ensure: • All installations are executed as per approved engineering drawings and specifications. • No deviations from approved designs without proper authorization and documentation. **3. Contractor Resource Management** Handling : • Contractor workforce and manpower deployment. • Daily, weekly, and monthly progress monitoring. • Tracking of project schedules, timelines, and resource utilization. Ensuring : • Quality workmanship within budget and project timelines. • High productivity and operational efficiency across project activities. **4. Safety Implementation (Most Important)** Manage Chemical Plant Risks Including: • Fire hazards. • Toxic chemical leaks. • Pressure-related hazards and process safety risks. Ensure Compliance with: • Job Safety Analysis (JSA). • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA). • Job Work Method Statements (JWMS). • Permit to Work (PTW) systems, including: • Confined Space Entry • Working at Height • Hot Work • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) • Line Break Activities • Safe lifting, rigging, and material handling practices. **5. Time Cost Management** Monitor: • Daily, weekly, and monthly project progress against baseline schedules. Handle: • Project delays, bottlenecks, and execution constraints. Optimize: • Resource allocation and utilization to achieve project targets efficiently. **6. Quality Control Inspection** Check and Verify: • Welding quality as per WPS/PQR requirements. • Hydrostatic and pneumatic testing activities. • Equipment alignment and installation accuracy. • Compliance with project quality standards and inspection procedures. Coordinate with: • Contractor QA/QC teams. • Inspection agencies and internal quality stakeholders. Educational qualifications preferred- BE/B.Tech Mechanical Required work experience: 2-5 Years Required Skills: • - Project planning and execution. • Site supervision and contractor management. • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings. • Safety management in chemical plants. • Quality inspection and compliance. • Cost and schedule control.
