Roles & responsibilities Equipment & DG Maintenance • Conduct daily inspection of DG sets, including engine oil, coolant, fuel, battery condition and alarms. • Monitor voltage and frequency and carry out basic DG operations and troubleshooting. • Coordinate with AMC/service vendors for DG-related maintenance requirements. Electrical Maintenance • Inspect and troubleshoot LT electrical panels, MCC/PCC panels, MCB/MCCB/ACB, contactors, relays, switches and indicator lamps. • Monitor incoming/outgoing power, breakers and meters and identify electrical faults. • Attend basic motor-related electrical faults and ensure proper functioning of protective devices. • Carry out basic replacement of defective switches, sockets, light fixtures and temporary lighting arrangements. • Support maintenance of UPS, inverters, batteries, VFDs, APFC panels and transformers. • Inspect earthing connections, earth pits and earth continuity. • Monitor transformer temperature, oil levels/indications, noise and leakage and escalate abnormalities. Facility Maintenance • Attend to minor plumbing and facility-related issues. • Monitor water supply, drainage, AC and ventilation systems. • Coordinate with relevant teams/vendors for issues requiring specialised intervention. • Coordinate with local authorities/service providers wherever required for facility-related matters. Safety & Compliance • Follow all applicable PPE and workplace safety requirements. • Ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with defined procedures. • Support fire safety activities, including inspection and maintenance of fire extinguishers and participation in fire safety training. Documentation & Reporting • Maintain preventive maintenance checklists and records. • Record equipment breakdowns, repairs and spare-parts usage. • Regularly update supervisors on pending maintenance issues and closure status. • Support tracking of maintenance and repair-related activities and expenses. Vendor Coordination • Coordinate with external vendors for AMC, repair and maintenance activities. • Ensure timely execution and closure of maintenance work at FC/CC locations. • Follow up with vendors on pending breakdowns and service requirements. Preferred candidate profile • Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or ITI Electrician. • Experience: Prior experience in MEP projects, facility maintenance, plant maintenance or electrical maintenance would be preferred. • Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of electrical systems, panels, motors, DG sets, UPS, transformers, pumps and associated equipment. • Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic electrical and facility-related issues. • Safety Mindset: Strong awareness of electrical and workplace safety practices. • Ownership: Ability to independently manage routine maintenance activities and proactively identify potential issues. • Coordination: Ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders, supervisors and external vendors. • Flexibility: Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse/FC environment and responding to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requirements.
