This is a UI-first role: your visual craft needs to be strong, sharp, and consistent. UX thinking should back that craft up, not replace it. You should be someone who obsesses over spacing, type, hierarchy, and motion just as much as you think about user flows and edge cases. You'll also be expected to work fast using AI tools as part of your everyday process not as a novelty, but as a real part of how you design, explore, and ship. What you'll do: • Own design projects end to end from brief to research inputs to final, developer-ready UI • Design high-quality visual UI for our app: clean layouts, strong typography, thoughtful use of color and motion • Back every design decision with basic UX reasoning user flows, information hierarchy, usability • Use AI tools (for ideation, exploration, content generation, research synthesis, or production speed) as a core part of your workflow. • Work closely with product managers and engineers to make sure designs actually ship the way they were intended • Contribute to and maintain our design system reuse patterns, flag inconsistencies, and help it scale as the product grows • Present and defend your design decisions clearly, with reasoning, not just taste What we're looking for (must-haves: • 3+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a portfolio that shows strong visual/UI craft first • Solid understanding of UX fundamentals — flows, hierarchy, usability, basic research methods • Comfortable using AI tools in your day-to-day design process (not just aware of them — actually using them to work faster or think better) • Ability to take a project from 0 to 1 with minimal hand-holding • Strong command over Figma; comfortable with the broader Adobe Creative Suite Good to have (not deal-breakers): • Experience designing for fintech or other high-trust, high-stakes products • Experience working within or contributing to a design system • Exposure to basic user research or usability testing • What we're not looking for • Someone who only does UX (flows/wireframes) without strong visual execution • Someone who treats AI tools as optional or unfamiliar territory • Someone who needs a fully scoped brief to start — we want people who can bring clarity to ambiguit
