Patient Care • Assess patients' physical, psychological, and emotional needs. • Develop and implement nursing care plans based on patient requirements. • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress. • Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed. • Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and emergencies. • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care. • Ensure accurate documentation of nursing interventions and patient outcomes. Clinical Responsibilities • Maintain patient safety and quality standards at all times. • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide basic and advanced life support as required. • Operate and monitor medical equipment safely and effectively. • Identify and report changes in patient condition to the treating physician and nursing supervisor. Infection Control & Safety • Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols. • Ensure proper handling and disposal of biomedical waste. • Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient care areas. • Follow hospital policies related to patient safety and risk management. Documentation & Compliance • Maintain accurate nursing records and patient documentation. • Ensure compliance with NABH, JCI, and hospital quality standards. • Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation activities. • Maintain confidentiality of patient information. Communication & Coordination • Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals, and multidisciplinary teams. • Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions. • Ensure effective handover during shift changes. • Address patient and attendant concerns professionally. Professional Development • Attend mandatory training programs and continuing nursing education sessions. • Keep updated with current nursing practices and clinical advancements. • Participate in departmental meetings and quality initiatives.
