Role: Warehouse SME Experience: 10-15 years Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role Warehousing Strategy & Transformation Lead Warehouse transformation projects for TCS’ international clients Provide expertise for project execution for brining operational efficiency in Warehouse processes Lead warehouse modernization and automation initiatives, define future-state warehouse operating models and develop warehouse digital transformation roadmap towards transformation Provide strategic leadership and domain expertise across warehouse operations, automation technologies, fulfillment processes, labor optimization, digital transformation initiatives Warehouse Operations & Design Provide deep subject matter expertise on warehouse processes, KPIs, and constraints across manual, semi-automated, and automated environments. Translate real-world operational challenges into simulation and analytical requirements. Validate digital twin outputs against actual warehouse performance and operational realities. Take lead role in understanding automation requirements, design of futuristic fulfillment centers and validate throughput requirements to build business case with measurable ROI Simulation, Modeling & Advisory Work with simulation tools (e.g., AnyLogic, Flex Sim, or equivalent) to model discrete-event and agent-based warehouse flows Support scenario simulations for peak planning, layout redesign, automation & labor optimization. Interpret simulation results and convert them into actionable business insights & recommendations. Lead RFP and client prospects by assuming a lead role in conducting WH assessments and maturity evaluations to define feasible automation strategies & benchmarking against global best practices. Data & System Integration Collaborating with IoT, WMS, WES, and data engineering teams to ingest real-time and historical data into the digital twin Ensure alignment of warehouse master data, process parameters, and event data across systems. Contribute to data quality, assumptions documentation, and model versioning. Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement Act as the primary warehouse advisor for business stakeholders, operations leaders, and client teams. Support solution storytelling, demos, Proof of Concepts, and value realization workshops. Provide guidance and enablement to Operations & IT teams on using digital twin outputs for decision-making in warehousing context across industry segments.
