AM/DM - Supply Chain Management (Stores & Dispatch)

Job description

Role & responsibilities • Manage overall store operations including receipt, storage, and issue of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods. • Ensure timely dispatch of materials/products as per production and customer schedules. • Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock to avoid shortages or excess inventory. • Conduct periodic stock verification, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation. • Ensure accurate transactions and record-keeping in ERP/SAP systems. • Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Logistics, and Quality teams for smooth material flow. • Monitor warehouse housekeeping and ensure compliance with 5S, safety, and audit requirements. • Manage transportation, vehicle planning, and dispatch documentation. • Analyze inventory and dispatch KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives. • Lead and develop store and dispatch team members to achieve operational excellence. • Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and customer-specific guidelines. Preferred candidate profile • Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or related discipline. • 6-12 years of experience in Stores, Warehouse, Inventory Control, Dispatch, and SCM operations within the Automotive or Manufacturing industry. • Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, material handling, and dispatch planning. • Hands-on experience with ERP/SAP systems and inventory management tools. • Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and warehouse best practices. • Experience in handling stock audits, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation. • Good understanding of logistics coordination, transportation management, and documentation. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Proven team handling and leadership experience. • Preference for candidates with experience in Tier-1 automotive manufacturing companies.
