EHS Executive (Environment, Health & Safety)

Job description

Role & responsibilities • Ensure compliance with all statutory safety regulations and company safety standards. • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across the plant. • Identify unsafe acts and conditions and implement corrective actions. • Monitor work permit systems for hot work, height work, confined space entry, and electrical work. • Conduct safety induction and awareness training programs for employees and contractors. • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases and implement preventive measures. • Ensure proper usage of PPE and compliance with safety procedures. • Coordinate mock drills, emergency preparedness, and fire safety activities. • Maintain safety records, reports, and statutory documentation. • Drive safety improvement initiatives, safety campaigns, and behavioral safety programs. • Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, legal requirements, and customer EHS standards. • Liaise with government authorities and support EHS compliance audits. Preferred candidate profile • Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. • Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institute. • 3-8 years (Executive) / 6-12 years (Sr. Executive) experience in manufacturing or automotive industry. • Knowledge of Factories Act, Fire Safety, Risk Assessment, HIRA, Permit to Work, and Emergency Response. • Strong communication, training, and incident investigation skills.
