POSITIONDESCRIPTION AREA Credit Manager-Formal LAP GRADE AVP-I DEPARTMENT Credit LOCATION RO SUB-DEPARTMENT Credit-MSME TYPEOF POSITION Permanent REPORTSTO RegionalCredit Manager REPORTINGINTO CreditManagers MSME ROLEPURPOSE OBJECTIVE - Implementrobust credit underwriting policies and processes for largeticket size MSME loans (up to 10 Cr) in the region and ensurethat the processes/policies are effectively managed on the field. - Conductincome appraisal of MSME borrowers. In depth understanding andanalysis of P L Account and Balance Sheet including cashflows of self-employed borrowers. - Ratioanalysis of financials and loans for short and long term lendingto self-employed customers. - Responsiblefor underwriting and building good quality secured portfolio. - Engagewith Risk committee to monitor credit risk and ensure Risk ismanaged proactively, involve in IDM (Inter Departmental Meeting),Risk Committee meetings, Audit closure meeting - Workclosely with Business and Collections team to manage collectionsin different buckets at the field - Managecost and productivity of team and vendors. SIZE OF THE ROLE FINANCIALSIZE NON-FINANCIALSIZE - Portfoliosize of Rs. 1000 Cr - 20-25vendors (legal, technical etc.) - 1product (secured) - 70-80files per month KEYDUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE Business/Financials (Only Relevant roles) - Underwritingtarget customer of affluent segment with detailed review - Evaluateand assess collateral security adequate for the lending. - ImplementCredit policies and processes for MSME Loans in the field - Implementnew policies, amendments and technology changes through propercommunication / training - Participatein collection of dues from customers to maintain lowdelinquency/Bounce Rate - Reviewand suggest policy and process changes based on the fieldunderstanding / feedback from the field team - Monitorand ensure Credit related Regulatory and Legal compliances arefollowed thoroughly by the key role holders in field - Ensurethat area surveys, cross checks, negative area reviews are donetimely along with Audit and Vigilance team - Ensurethe portfolio quality in excellent category through induction ofgood quality customers in MSME at the field level - Effectivelymonitor external risk by keeping a tab on field issues andcustomer dynamics - Identify,highlight and address emerging risks proactively along with therisk and compliance departments - Executestrict actions taken as per the Penalty Matrix for the fielddeviations. - ConductPeriodic review of Portfolio Quality and Collection to takenecessary actions. - Conductperiodic reviews with Credit Managers for driving desirablecredit performance - Prepareand monitor action plans for Poor and High Risk branches in MSME - Beupdated about the competition in the field and update themanagement on regular basis - Monitorcredit staff expenses across and ensure the same within thebudget Customer (Both Internal External) - Supervisingthe team spread in given area for building of a performingportfolio. - Workwith other Area Managers and Regional Business Managers foreffective implementation of Credit Policies and team management - Engagewith credit vendors, FCU and other agencies to ensureproductivity and cost control. - Workwith Business team, Audit team, Collection team and Risk team foreffective risk management - Engagewith Product Management Team for necessary changes in products asper the observations from the field - Engagewith Recruitment Manager for timely recruitment and induction ofnew employees - Engagebranch supervisors to understand the customer and field staffrequirements while framing the policies and processes - Ensurethat credit responds to Customers and branch staff queriesand issues timely. - Co-ordinatewith Business team, Collections team and Vigilance team foreffective collections management **Location -** Kolkata,Saguna,Patna,Nagar,Kamrup,Tamluk,Purba Champaran,Midnapore
