**Role & responsibilities** **1.** **Legal Advisory** - Provide legal advice to the execution/operations/ project teams for ongoing EPC projects - Support project closures from a legal perspective **2.** **Claims & Dispute Resolution** - Handle pre-dispute situations, claims management, and arbitration proceedings - Handle MSME notices, conciliation and arbitration - Handle IBC notices and NCLT proceedings - Coordinate with external counsel for litigation and arbitration matters - Develop strategies for dispute avoidance and resolution - Represent the company in negotiations, mediations, and dispute forums **3.** **Compliance & Regulatory Affairs** - Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including contract law, , environmental regulations, and labor laws - Monitor changes in legal/regulatory requirements affecting EPC operations - Implement compliance frameworks and internal policies **4.** **Contract Management** - Drafting, reviewing, part of negotiation and finalizing EPC contracts, consortium agreements, unincorporated & Incorporated JV agreements, subcontractor/vendor agreements, and consultancy contracts - Standardize contract templates aligned with business requirement and to the benefit of the company - Provide legal input to business development/sales team of the business group during bid evaluation and submissions and also if required, be part of contract & commercial negotiations - Knowledge and practical experience in FIDIC and other international/industry-standard contract frameworks to handle the contractual issues and the disputes. - Advice on contract interpretation, variations, claims, extensions of time (EOT), and change orders - Identify legal risks in project execution and recommend mitigation strategies **5.** **Stakeholder Management** - Collaborate with internal stakeholders: Projects, Commercial, Procurement, Finance - Liaise with external stakeholders: clients, consultants, contractors, legal advisors, regulatory authorities - Support senior leadership with legal risk insights for strategic decisions **6.** **Governance & Risk Management** - Develop and maintain legal risk management frameworks - Conduct legal audits of project contracts and practices - Maintain MIS reports on legal cases, contract risks, and compliance status **7.** **Team Management** - Lead and mentor junior legal team members - Allocate work, review outputs, and build team capability in EPC legal practices **Preferred candidate profile** : **Experience:** 12-15 years experience in legal roles **Behavioral Attributes:** - High integrity and ethical standards - Proactive and detail-oriented - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Leadership and team management capabilities **Education:** LLB / LLM from a reputed institution **Location:** Mumbai
