MEP Billing Engineer Position: MEP Billing Engineer Location: Open / Project Site Industry: Construction / Real Estate / Infrastructure Experience: 8+ Years CTC: Up to 13 LPA Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced MEP Billing Engineer to manage billing, quantity estimation, measurement verification, and cost control activities for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) works. The candidate will be responsible for preparing contractor bills, verifying quantities, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring accurate documentation and timely certification of MEP-related payments. Key Responsibilities Billing & Measurement • Prepare and verify RA Bills, Final Bills, and subcontractor bills for MEP works. • Review and certify quantities executed at site against approved BOQs and drawings. • Monitor work progress and prepare measurement sheets for billing purposes. • Ensure timely submission and processing of contractor invoices. Quantity Surveying & Cost Control • Verify quantities for HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, and ELV systems. • Monitor budget utilization and cost variations during project execution. • Assist in preparing cost estimates, BOQs, and quantity reconciliations. • Identify and report deviations, change orders, and extra items. Documentation & Contracts • Maintain billing records, measurement books, work orders, and contractual documentation. • Review agreements, rate analyses, and payment terms. • Coordinate with contractors and consultants for billing approvals and certifications. Coordination & Reporting • Liaise with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and contractors for quantity verification. • Track work progress against billing milestones. • Generate periodic MIS reports related to billing, cost tracking, and project status. • Support monthly project cost reviews and financial reporting. Compliance & Quality • Ensure billing activities comply with contract conditions and project guidelines. • Support audits by maintaining complete billing and measurement documentation. • Verify that executed works meet project specifications before certification. Qualifications • B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related discipline. • Certification in Quantity Surveying or Contracts Management will be an added advantage. Experience • Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP billing and quantity surveying. • Experience in commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals, IT parks, high-rise developments, or industrial projects preferred. • Strong exposure to contractor billing, BOQ management, and cost control processes.
