Job description

**Role & responsibilities** **1. BIM Modeling & Authoring** - Develop accurate 3D models for MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting) across various Levels of Development (LOD 200 to LOD 400). - Create parametric Revit families and templates for MEP equipment and components to ensure standardization. - Accurately input spatial dimensions, materials, and technical data into the BIM model. **2. Clash Detection & Interdisciplinary Coordination** - Perform hard and soft clash detection using federated models across Architectural, Structural, and MEP trades. - Participate in regular BIM coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts prior to construction and procurement. - Ensure routing and clearances comply with spatial limitations, maintenance access, and field installation practices. **3. Documentation & Deliverables** - Extract accurate 2D construction drawings, shop drawings, and spool drawings directly from the coordinated 3D model. - Generate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and material schedules to support the procurement department. - Assist in updating "as-built" models based on red-line markups from the construction site. **4. Standards & Workflows** - Adhere strictly to project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and company BIM standards. - Collaborate with lead MEP engineers to ensure the model reflects engineering calculations, design intent, and local building codes **Preferred candidate profile** - **Education:** Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering - **Experience:** 4 to 8 years of proven experience in MEP BIM modeling, preferably within large-scale construction or EPC projects. - **Software Proficiency:** Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit (MEP), Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and collaboration tools like Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360. - **Engineering Knowledge:** Strong understanding of MEP physics, duct/pipe sizing logics, and gravity flow drainage principles. - **Soft Skills:** Strong spatial awareness, excellent attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
