Job Title: Compliance Manager - Manufacturing. Location: Chennai. Department: Legal. Job Summary The Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing the organizations compliance management system (GCMS) and ensuring internal tracking, monitoring and reporting of statutory and regulatory obligations across manufacturing operations / administrative units in India. This role operates within the Legal function and focuses on system-driven compliance governance, without external regulatory liaison responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: • Administer the compliance management system (GCMS) across manufacturing units. • Oversee tool configuration, law mapping, entity/location tagging and compliance / regulatory updates. • Track compliance status, deviations and overdue items through the GCMS. • Record, monitor and report non-compliances and drive internal closure through tracking. • Review dashboards, escalations, and prepare compliance MIS for management and audits. • Train stakeholders on GCMS usage and management. • Ensure data integrity, role-based access and confidentiality within the system. • Act as the single point of contact for the external CMS vendor. • Coordinate with the external CMS vendor for system enhancements and configuration changes and issue resolution and user support. Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in Law – BL / LLB. • 8-10 years of total exp with 3–6 years of experience in compliance, audit or legal support. • Hands-on experience with compliance management tools. • Strong knowledge of Indian manufacturing-related statutory compliance requirements. Skills & Competencies: • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and statutory mapping. • High attention to detail and strong documentation discipline. • Data-driven mindset with strong reporting and dashboarding skills. • Effective internal and external stakeholder coordination. • Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting tools and compliance systems.
