**Job Title: Cost Controller - Minerals & Metals EPC Projects** **Location:** Bangalore **Function:** Project Controls **Job Summary** We are looking for an experienced **Cost Controller** to manage project cost planning, monitoring, forecasting, and reporting for large-scale **Minerals & Metals EPC** **projects**. The role will be responsible for ensuring effective cost governance throughout the project lifecycle by tracking budgets, commitments, actual costs, forecasts, cash flow, and change management while providing accurate financial insights to support project delivery. **Key Responsibilities:** **Project Cost Control** - Develop and maintain project cost control systems, cost breakdown structures (CBS), and project budgets. - Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify cost variances. - Track committed, actual, and forecast costs throughout the project lifecycle. - Prepare Estimate at Completion (EAC), Estimate to Complete (ETC), and cost forecasts. - Support project cash flow forecasting and expenditure planning. **Budgeting & Forecasting** - Establish project cost baselines and monitor budget performance. - Perform monthly cost reviews with Project Managers and discipline leads. - Analyse cost trends and recommend corrective actions. - Maintain contingency utilization and cost risk registers. **Cost Reporting** - Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports, dashboards, and management presentations. - Generate project KPIs including Cost Performance Index (CPI), budget utilization, productivity, and forecast accuracy. - Support earned value reporting where applicable. - **Change Management** - Evaluate cost impacts of engineering changes, scope variations, and change orders. - Maintain change logs and ensure approved changes are incorporated into project budgets. - Support commercial and contracts teams during variation assessments. **Project Coordination** - Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Planning, Finance, and Commercial teams for accurate cost reporting. - Monitor procurement commitments, vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and accruals. - Ensure alignment between project schedule, progress, and cost performance. **Qualifications** - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical/Chemical) - MBA or Project Management qualification is an advantage. **Experience** - **10-15 years** of experience in Project Cost Control within **Minerals & Metals, Mining, Steel, Smelter, Process Plants, Heavy Industrial, or EPC/EPCM projects**. - Experience handling large greenfield or brownfield industrial projects. - Exposure to project budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, and project controls.
