Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and evaluate patients' conditions and respond quickly to changes. - Administer medications and treatments according to protocols and prescriptions. - Collaborate with doctors, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families. - Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient documentation. - Participate in continuous education and training to improve skills and knowledge in critical care practices. - Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards. Skills and Tools Required: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a valid nursing license. - Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure. - Proficiency in using medical equipment and technology used in critical care settings. - Knowledge of advanced life support systems and protocols. - Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Preferred Qualifications: - Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or equivalent. - Previous experience in an ICU or critical care setting. - Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
