Cyber Security Senior Advisor

Key Skills: Scripting, Red Teaming, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Offensive security, Splunk, Cyber Security, Cyber Kill Chain, Bash Shell, Python, Certification, C/C++, Powershell Roles and Responsibilities: • Design, scope, and lead complex technical assessments including Purple Team engagements and other security testing initiatives. • Perform targeted offensive security assessments with a focus on improving detection and telemetry capabilities. • Collaborate with Incident Response, Threat Hunting, Threat Intelligence, and Security Engineering teams to enhance security outcomes. • Identify and develop new capabilities to improve adversary simulation programs and overall security maturity. • Support and mentor internal teams on secure architecture, detection logic, and adversary behavior analysis. • Execute advanced adversary techniques, tactics, and procedures across all phases of the cyber kill chain. • Build and conduct adversary emulation exercises based on frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and custom threat models. • Prepare comprehensive security assessment reports and present complex technical findings in a clear manner. • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address evolving cybersecurity challenges. • Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and offensive security techniques. • Mentor and guide junior security professionals within the team. Skills Required: • Strong experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence and Threat Analysis. • Hands-on experience in Red Teaming and Offensive Security assessments. • Knowledge of Threat Hunting and Threat Detection methodologies. • Experience working with threat intelligence platforms and security monitoring tools such as Splunk. • Strong understanding of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain. • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash Shell, and PowerShell. • Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++ is an added advantage. • Experience in adversary simulation, threat modeling, and detection engineering. • Familiarity with Agile environments and security operations workflows. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, OSEP, GXPN, CRTO, or similar certifications are preferred.
