Deputy Manager/ Manager- Accounts & Finance

Job description

Key Responsibilities: • Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and reports. • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll. • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, and internal controls. • Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate audit processes. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. • Monitor financial performance and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. • Maintain and update financial policies and procedures aligned with industry standards. • Oversee inventory valuation and cost management specific to steel pipe manufacturing. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial analysis and decision-making. • Ensure timely submission of statutory returns and reports. Qualifications & Skills: • Master degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA preferred. • Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in the steel or manufacturing industry. • Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, IFRS, and statutory compliance. • Experience with SAP systems • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. • Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. • Knowledge of industry-specific financial practices and cost accounting. Preferred Attributes: • Experience working in the steel pipe or manufacturing sector. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
