Date live: 06/30/2026 Business Area: In Business BSS Area of Expertise: Compliance Contract: Permanent Reference Code: JR-0000118063 Key Responsibilities **End-to-End Execution Leadership** - Own end-to-end delivery of Financial Crime Execution activities, including case execution, risk assessments and enhanced due diligence, with full accountability for throughput, backlog, quality and SLA adherence. - Drive consistent, high-quality execution outcomes across Financial Crime processes, ensuring policy-aligned delivery while maintaining operational pace, efficiency and control discipline. - Translate financial crime priorities into executable delivery plans, ensuring risks, dependencies, capacity constraints and delivery milestones are actively managed. **People Management** - Provide local line management and senior leadership for the India-based Financial Crime Execution function, including permanent colleagues and MSP resources. - Build a strong, consistent performance culture across the India execution team, with clear objectives, role clarity, delivery discipline and active performance management. - Establish robust routines for capacity planning, demand management, productivity tracking, coaching and capability uplift. **Operating Model Design & Optimisation** - Define and implement a clear execution operating model covering workflow, prioritisation, case allocation, productivity expectations, quality standards and escalation paths. - Drive process standardisation and scalability, reducing variation across teams and ensuring repeatable, measurable delivery outcomes. - Use operational MI and data-driven insights to manage performance, allocate resources, identify constraints and support timely decision-making. **Remediation & Control Uplift Delivery** - Lead delivery of remediation and control uplift activity across FCE, including key strategic initiatives and other regulatory or internally driven programmes. - Ensure remediation outcomes are delivered at pace, to the required quality standard, and embedded sustainably into BAU processes with clear ownership and controls. - Act as a central execution owner across FCE, coordinating India delivery with UK priorities, ensuring dependencies, risks and issue resolution are actively managed. **Continuous Improvement & Transformation** - Identify opportunities to simplify, streamline, and enhance Financial Crime processes across the lifecycle - Drive digitization, tooling improvements, and leverage of analytics/MI to improve operational effectiveness - Champion a culture of continuous improvement and execution excellence To be successful in this role as a “Fincrime Execution - Director ", you should possess the following skillsets: - Advanced degree level education and/or strong academic track record. - Proven experience leading **large-scale operational delivery teams** in Financial Crime / Financial Services - Demonstrated ability to **scale execution functions**, drive productivity, and deliver against high-volume, complex workflows - Deep expertise in **transaction monitoring, EDD, and Financial Crime operations and** understanding of **how policy translates into execution**, with ability to operationalise regulatory requirements effectively - Experience leading **large, complex remediation programmes** or regulatory-driven delivery initiatives - Experience focusing on developing and implementing consistent risk and control global frameworks within an organization. - Experience working across **global, matrixed organisations**, influencing senior stakeholders - CAMS, ICA, or similar financial crime certifications are preferable. **Purpose of the role** To provide data-led expert oversight and check and challenge on business and compliance matters to evidence that the organisation is operating in a compliance with Barclays legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities. **Accountabilities** - Identification and assessment of compliance risks through thorough reviews of business activities, changes, processes, testing and systems to. - Identification and investigation of potential market abuse, including but not limited to, Insider Dealing, Unlawful Disclosure, Market Manipulation or Anti-Competitive Conduct. - Conduct investigation of compliance risk events or breaches. Oversight and check and challenge of corrective actions and preventative measures to avoid future occurrences. - Implementation of compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and ensuring that the bank’s internal policies are aligned with international standards, including jurisdictional requirements. - Collaboration with 1LOD, other relevant Compliance teams and legal, and relevant risk management functions to facilitate a comprehensive approach to compliance and risk management. - Identification, investigation and oversight of potential money laundering, terrorist financing or other financial crime. **Director Expectations** - To manage a business function, providing significant input to function wide strategic initiatives. Contribute to and influence policy and procedures for the function and plan, manage and consult on multiple complex and critical strategic projects, which may be business wide.. - They manage the direction of a large team or sub-function, leading other people managers and embedding a performance culture aligned to the values of the business.
