RECRUITMENT DRIVE: ENGINE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALISTS (EDD) Job Location: CIT, Jaipur Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Experience Brackets: 3–9 Years (Engine Engineer / Senior Engineer) | 9–15 Years (Technical Lead / Program Manager) Job Purpose Statement We are seeking dynamic powertrain professionals to join our Engine Design & Development (EDD) team across six core verticals. Depending on your experience bracket, you will either execute deep-dive technical deliveries or spearhead project teams to advance next-generation 2-Wheeler Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) and Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) powertrains. This recruitment drive aims to onboard talent capable of optimizing power density, fuel economy, and structural durability within stringent Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) parameters. Core Verticals & Domain Tracks Your application will be aligned with one of the following specialist pillars based on your expertise: 1. Engine Design: 3D modeling, 2D layout drafting, hand calculations, stack-up analysis, and packaging of core components (Crankcase, Cylinder Head, Valve Train, Air Intake, Transmissions) using CATIA V5 and Teamcenter. 2. Engine Simulation: 1D thermodynamic and acoustic modeling (GT Suite, AVL Boost/Ricardo Wave), 3D CFD/FEA (Ansys, Star-CCM+), and AI-driven Generative Synthesis (Topology/Lattice optimization, nTopology, modeFRONTIER). 3. Engine Development: Developing durability/performance trials, executing specialized engine trials (lubrication, breathing, cooling), and conducting wear analysis on critical engine components. 4. Mechanical & Functional Testing: Executing functional, endurance, and mechanical trials on engine testbeds and chassis dynamometers, defining DVPs, and modifying test SOPs. 5. Engine Calibration: Developing and validating calibration strategies, executing EOBD, drivability, and evaporative functions using advanced combustion analysis tools (IndiMaster, AVL Concerto). 6. Program Management – Engine: Coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams (design, simulation, testing), tracking master schedules (MS Project), handling supplier interactions, and managing cross-functional risk mitigation. Key Accountabilities: For the 3–9 Years Bracket: • Execute 3D modeling, simulation data processing, or physical validation test cells independently. • Prepare concrete daily plans, analyze engine failures using root-cause methodologies (DFMEA, RCA, 8D), and generate formal technical documentation. • Partner with manufacturing suppliers to close manufacturing feasibilities (DFM/DFA). For the 9–15 Years Bracket: • Lead complex, multi-objective engine trials or establish specialized virtual optimization workflows. • Represent the specific powertrain segments to internal cross-functional teams (Vehicle Integration, Sourcing) and external global technology partners. • Build domain expertise, mentor sub-ordinates, handle project budgets/milestones, and generate engineering Intellectual Property (IP). Threshold Candidate Requirements • Academic Background: B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Thermal, Mechatronics, or Solid Mechanics Engineering. • Core Competencies: Strong command of powertrain fundamentals, fluent English communication skills, a multi-cultural working approach, and a highly proactive attitude toward problem-solving under aggressive timelines.
