Engineer - Anode Caster Operations

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities • Operate anode furnaces to produce high-quality molten metal. • Monitor and control the refining pyrometallurgical process, ensuring optimal conditions for slag formation. • Conduct quality control checks on castings, including defect management and analysis of slag and melt samples. • Collaborate with other teams to resolve issues related to process control systems (DCS operation) and oxidation/reduction processes. • Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all aspects of anode caster operations. Desired Candidate Profile • 4-8 years of experience in anode casting or similar role in the metals industry. • Diploma holder in Chemical or Metallurgy field; knowledge of relevant theories and principles preferred. • Strong understanding of anode furnace operation, refining pyrometallurgical process, DCS system operation, slag handling, molten metal handling, and quality control procedures.
