Field Support Engineer || Field Role

Job description

**Role & responsibilities** - **Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance** of telecom tower sites to ensure maximum uptime. - **Diagnose and troubleshoot faults** in electrical, electronic, and telecom systems at sites. - **Monitor energy usage** and implement efficiency measures to reduce operational costs. - **Ensure compliance with safety standards** and regulatory requirements during all site activities. - **Supervise partner technicians** and validate the quality of their work. - **Maintain accurate documentation** of maintenance activities, site performance, and fault reports. - **Coordinate with the Area Operations Manager** for escalations and reporting. - **Support installation and commissioning** of new equipment or upgrades at tower sites. - **Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns** and restore services within defined SLAs. - **Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives** **Preferred candidate profile** - **Education**: Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering. - **Experience**: 28 years in telecom infrastructure operations & maintenance, preferably with tower site exposure. - **Technical Skills**: - Operations & Maintenance of telecom tower sites - Electrical systems and power management - Preventive & corrective maintenance - Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting - Energy efficiency practices - Familiarity with remote monitoring tools/software - **Certifications**: Safety compliance certifications (electrical safety, OHS standards) preferred. - **Soft Skills**: Strong problem-solving ability, effective communication, team collaboration, and vendor/technician supervision. - **Work Environment**: Willingness to travel to tower sites, ability to work in outdoor conditions, and flexibility for emergency call-outs. - **Other Attributes**
