What You'll Do As part of the Global Finance Operations Services team, you will provide end-to-end leadership for Record-to-Report (RTR) operations, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, timeliness and compliance of financial accounting across multiple geographies. The scope includes general ledger accounting, period-end close, balance-sheet reconciliations and substantiation, fixed assets, lease and intangible accounting, intercompany processing, financial consolidation and reporting and related financial controls. You will be accountable for building a high-performing RTR organization with strong financial controllership, consistent global processes and clearly defined service and performance standards. Working closely with regional and local Finance teams and other key stakeholders, you will drive simplification, standardization, automation and continuous improvement while ensuring that accounting policies, controls and statutory requirements are consistently applied. As the function operates in a mature steady-state model, a key priority will be to improve close quality and efficiency, strengthen balance-sheet governance, enhance digital capabilities and identify opportunities to expand the scope and value delivered by the operations center. Roles and Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end RTR operations across general ledger, period-end close, balance-sheet reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, leases and intangibles. • Ensure accurate, timely and compliant month-, quarter- and year-end close and reporting, with strong focus on first-time-right quality, balance-sheet integrity and timely resolution of accounting issues. • Maintain strong financial controllership, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and standards, effective operation of financial controls, audit readiness and timely remediation of control deficiencies. • Oversee financial statement preparation and consolidation activities, including consolidation adjustments, intercompany eliminations and resolution of reporting issues. • Manage operational performance against agreed KPIs and service levels, using data and root-cause analysis to address recurring issues, improve quality and increase predictability. • Drive standardization, simplification and continuous improvement across RTR, leveraging technology and automation to improve quality, controls and productivity. • Act as the senior escalation point for RTR accounting and operational matters, partnering with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Risk, Technology and other teams to resolve issues effectively. • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, including Senior Managers, Finance Directors and Heads of Finance, providing clear visibility of performance, risks, issues and improvement priorities. • Lead audit and risk-review readiness and ensure policies, procedures, controls and process documentation remain effective and current. • Lead and develop a team of approximately 10–14 RTR professionals, with accountability for capacity planning, performance, capability development, engagement and succession. • Support finance transformation and operating-model changes, ensuring effective implementation, knowledge transfer and transition into steady-state operations. What You'll Bring Education & Experience • Bachelor's/ Master’s degree in finance, Accounting or a related discipline. • Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA, ICWA or equivalent strongly preferred. • 14+ years of progressive Finance and Accounting experience, including significant experience in RTR operations and/or financial controllership within a complex multinational environment. • Demonstrated experience leading multi-entity and multi-geography RTR operations, including period-end close, general ledger accounting, balance-sheet governance, financial statement preparation and consolidation, intercompany accounting and financial controls. • Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP, with experience applying accounting policies and control frameworks across multiple jurisdictions. • Proven experience improving close performance, accounting quality, controls and operational KPIs through process standardization, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement. • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams within a GCC, GBS, global finance operations or shared-services environment. • Strong experience with enterprise finance platforms such as SAP, Oracle or similar ERP systems, including the use of automation, workflow, analytics and emerging AI capabilities to improve finance operations. • Experience supporting RTR transformation, migration, technology implementation or operating-model initiatives is preferred.
