Regional Head - Wind Execution (Maharashtra) Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra (Subject to organizational requirement) Function: Renewable Energy - Project Execution Experience: 20+ Years Job Purpose The Regional Head - Wind Execution (Maharashtra) will be responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of utility-scale wind energy projects across the state. The role will oversee project planning, construction, WTG installation, commissioning, stakeholder management, contract administration, safety, quality, and budget control to ensure timely and successful project delivery. The incumbent will provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple project sites, driving execution excellence while ensuring compliance with Tata Power's safety, quality, and governance standards. Key Responsibilities Project Execution & Delivery Lead execution of wind power and wind-hybrid projects from mobilization to commercial operation. Deliver projects within approved timelines, budgets, and quality parameters. Monitor project schedules, milestones, and resource allocation across multiple sites. Ensure timely commissioning, grid synchronization, and project handover. Drive productivity improvements and execution excellence across the region. Construction & Commissioning Management Oversee site development, foundations, internal roads, crane pads, substations, transmission lines, and evacuation infrastructure. Lead WTG erection, installation, testing, and commissioning activities. Coordinate closely with OEMs, EPC contractors, and commissioning teams. Ensure adherence to technical specifications and project standards. (Formerly known as Tata Power Solar Systems Limited) Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Land, Legal, Regulatory, and Asset Management teams. Build and manage relationships with OEMs, EPC contractors, consultants, DISCOMs, transmission utilities, and government authorities. Facilitate statutory approvals and resolve execution-related challenges. Commercial & Contract Management Monitor EPC contracts, vendor agreements, and project commercial performance. Ensure effective cost control, budget management, and CAPEX utilization. Evaluate contract performance, claims, variations, and risk mitigation plans. Drive value engineering and cost optimization initiatives. Health, Safety, Quality & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to Tata Power's HSE policies and industry safety standards. Promote a strong safety culture with a focus on zero harm. Monitor quality assurance and quality control processes throughout project execution. Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Team Leadership Lead and mentor Project Managers, Site Heads, Construction Managers, Planning Engineers, and HSE professionals. Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Develop organizational capabilities and succession pipelines within the execution function. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) MW capacity commissioned as per business plan On-time project completion Budget and CAPEX adherence Safety performance and compliance metrics Construction productivity and quality standards Contractor and stakeholder management effectiveness Cost optimization and value engineering outcomes Team engagement and leadership effectiveness Educational Qualification Essential Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related discipline. Preferred MBA / PGDM from a recognized institution. PMP or equivalent Project Management certification. Experience 18-28 years of experience in Power, Infrastructure, EPC, or Renewable Energy sectors. Proven track record in execution of large-scale wind energy projects. Strong experience in EPC management, WTG installation, commissioning, and transmission infrastructure. Exposure to multi-site project management and regional operations. Experience managing large contractor ecosystems and high-value project portfolios.
