Hiring Country Compliance Lead (India)

**Company:** Straive **Location:** Chennai **Experience Needed:** 2 to 5 years **Job Type:** Full-time **About the Job** We are looking for a **Compliance Lead** to handle our legal rules and internal policies for India. In this role, you will make sure our company follows all Indian laws, manage audits, and fix any compliance issues. You will work closely with our Legal and Compliance team based in the **Chennai office**. **What You Will Do (Responsibilities)** - **Lead India Compliance:** Take charge of all compliance and rule-following activities in India. - **Handle Audits:** Check our internal processes (internal audits) and lead the way when outside inspectors check us (external audits). - **Create Policies:** Write, update, and implement company rules and risk lists. - **Fix Problems:** Create and follow through on action plans to fix any issues found during audits. - **Train Employees:** Create and manage online training courses to teach employees about company rules. - **Check Privacy & Laws:** Look into privacy risks and research new Indian laws to see how they affect the company. - **Support the Team:** Work closely with the India Legal Head and help with everyday compliance questions. **Who We Are Looking For (Requirements)** - **Education:** Any Bachelor's degree. - **Experience:** 2 to 5 years of working in compliance, risk management, or auditing. - **Audit Skills:** Experience doing internal or external audits. - **Communication:** Great communication skills to work well with different teams. **Bonus Points If You Have:** - Experience dealing specifically with Indian compliance laws. - An **ISO Certification** to conduct audits. - Experience with **compliance** or data privacy.
