Job description

**Role & responsibilities** **1. Site-Based Design & Engineering Coordination** - **Engineering to Construction (E2C) Translation:** Translate Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings into actionable site instructions, ensuring structural and architectural alignment. - **Cross-Discipline Coordination:** Lead the integration of architectural plans with Civil/Structural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) services to avoid site clashes and ensure utility clearances. - **Design Modifications & TQs:** Manage, review, and approve technical queries (TQ) and site instructions regarding design changes or unforeseen site constraints. - **As-Built Documentation:** Maintain rigorous tracking of red-markups and coordinate with the back-office design team to update and finalize "As-Built" drawings. **2. Construction Management & Quality Assurance** - **Quality Inspections:** Conduct regular site walks to monitor construction workmanship, ensuring it complies with approved architectural drawings, specifications, and BOQ (Bill of Quantities). - **Vendor Submittals:** Review and approve vendor drawings and architectural material submittals (e.g., facade, cladding, fire doors, flooring) for site deployment. - **Safety & Compliance:** Enforce compliance with local building codes, fire safety standards, and occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations on-site. - **Punch List & Handover:** Manage project snags/punch lists, ensuring the timely rectification of defects prior to client walk-throughs and facility handover. **3. Client & Stakeholder Management** - **Client Interface:** Act as the main point of contact on-site for the clients representatives regarding architectural and aesthetic requirements. - **Meeting Facilitation:** Chair or attend regular coordination meetings with contractors, sub-consultants, and the project management team (PMC). - **Progress Reporting:** Generate daily, weekly, or bi-weekly progress and variance reports for the Project Manager and client. **4. Resource & Budget Control** - **Value Engineering:** Identify opportunities for cost optimization and material substitutions without compromising on functionality or structural integrity. - **Material Tracking:** Oversee the material delivery schedule, ensuring architectural components align with project phasing to prevent construction delays. **Preferred candidate profile** - **Education:** Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch) from an accredited institution. - **Experience:** Minimum 14-21 years of progressive architectural experience, with a heavy emphasis on industrial and heavy infrastructure EPC projects. - **Software Proficiency:** Advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM (Building Information Modeling) integration tools. Familiarity with Primavera or MS Project is a plus. - **Knowledge Base:** In-depth understanding of international building codes (IBC), local zoning/bylaws, and industry documents (OSHA, NFPA). - **Skills:** Exceptional communication, critical problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities in a fast-paced construction environment
