Role & Responsibilities: 1. Quality Assurance & Planning • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 and client specifications. • Review engineering and procurement documents to ensure quality requirements are translated into purchase requisitions. • Prepare and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and check sheets. 2. Quality Control & Site Execution • Oversee stage-wise inspections for materials, civil works, welding, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), and equipment erection. • Ensure strict adherence to EPC/FEED execution codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS, IS). • Review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and welder qualifications. • Monitor vendor performance and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs). 3. Audits & Supplier Management • Plan and execute internal and external audits for both vendors and subcontractors. • Track and maintain subcontractor qualification records and material traceability. • Evaluate supplier inspection procedures and material certificates to verify compliance. 4. Documentation & Handover • Manage field document control for construction drawings, specifications, and test reports. • Issue, track, and resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective/Preventative Actions (CAPA). • Consolidate, review, and approve final Quality Dossiers / Turnover Packages (MDR) for seamless project handover 5. Leadership & Client Interface • Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, PMC (Project Management Consultants), and third-party inspectors regarding quality matters. • Mentor and supervise subordinate QA/QC Engineers, site inspectors, and document controllers. • Prepare and present quality KPIs and metrics to project management. Preferred candidate profile : • Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related disciplines) from reputed UGC/AICTE approved universities/institutions. (Must be Full Time/Regular Course) • Experience: Minimum 15 to 20 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the EPC sector (e.g., Oil & Gas, Power, Infrastructure, Solar and industrial plants construction). • Certifications: Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001) and NDT Level II/III (RT, UT, MT, PT) are heavily preferred. • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities (Root Cause Analysis), attention to detail, and excellent written/verbal communication.
