Key Skills:Infrastructure as Code Terraform, Ansible, ARM Templates, Linux Administrator, Linux (Shell scripting, systemd), API Integration (REST/JSON, WebSockets), Automation Tools: Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Bash, Perl (Basic) Roles and Responsibilities: • Provide 24x7 operational support for all Staples Cloud Infrastructure and participate in the on-call rotation. • Implement infrastructure availability and performance monitoring to ensure platform uptime and performance. • Automate OS/security patching, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) cluster upgrades, etc. • Drive production readiness Permit to Operate (PTO) process for applications migrating into the public cloud. • Develop, maintain, and promote a culture of continuous enhancement for a robust knowledge management system for the Cloud Services team and its partners. • Collaborate with Cloud Engineers/Architects, SRE, Development, Release Engineering, and Database teams to support implementations into the cloud infrastructure. • Support aspects of the cloud migration initiative, including its impact on infrastructure, networks, and security. • Research, analyze, and recommend solutions for challenging cloud operational issues. • Generate governance and compliance-related reports for management as needed. • Work with Staples Incident/Problem Management and cloud providers to drive root cause analysis (RCA) for high-priority issues in a timely manner. Skills Required: • Must have strong experience as a Linux Administrator supporting large-scale cloud infrastructure environments. • Must have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and ARM Templates. • Must be proficient in automation tools including Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, and Terraform. • Must have experience working with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. • Must have strong Linux system-level knowledge including shell scripting, systemd, and OS-level troubleshooting. • Must have working knowledge of API integrations using REST/JSON and WebSockets. • Must have scripting experience using Bash and basic knowledge of Perl. • Should have basic exposure to Kubernetes administration and cloud-native environments. • Should possess AZ-104: Azure Administrator certification or equivalent practical experience. Education: Relevant degree in Computer Science or related field.
