Linux Administrator Senior 7 to 10 Yrs Pune Location 1 to 10 PM shift (Mon to Friday) About the Team In todays highly connected world, global exchange trading is a critical requirement for leading banks. The FIS Global Network (FGN) team consists of highly talented and motivated professionals focused on delivering lowlatency, realtime trading solutions. The Pune team plays a key role in order routing solutions supporting global clients, working in a highly reliable, missioncritical environment. What You Will Be Doing As a Senior Linux Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and supporting Linux-based infrastructure and datacenter operations. Your role will include: • Administration, patching, provisioning, and maintenance of Linux servers (RHEL 7, 8, 9) • Managing VMware environments, including new server and VM provisioning • Supporting datacenter activities through effective vendor coordination • Product deployments, system upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and hardening activities • Supporting multiple production and nonproduction environments • Handling production incidents, root cause analysis, and rapid resolution • Collaborating with business stakeholders for communication, expectation management, and issue resolution • Working closely with product and technology teams in a highquality, clientfocused environment What You Bring Required Knowledge Experience • 710 years of hands-on experience installing, administering, and troubleshooting Linux servers (RHEL 7/8/9) • Strong experience working with VMware in an enterprise environment • Solid understanding of system and network fundamentals, including: • Ethernet • Switching • TCP/IP addressing and routing • Proven ability to diagnose, analyze, and resolve system and network failures • Ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently and shift priorities as required • Willingness to work in rotational / variable shift environments • Experience supporting teams and providing technical guidance • Ability to handle production issues with urgency and efficiency • Strong sense of ownership, professionalism, and client focus • Good understanding of Agile development practices Technical Exposure (Good Working Knowledge Of) • EFS, DFS, and NFS • Configuration management tools such as Puppet and/or Ansible • Middleware and services such as JBoss and SMTP • Enterprise monitoring tools Additional Skills (Good to Have) • Experience with scripting languages and deployment/automation tools • Exposure to Oracle databases • Knowledge of Digital Certificate management Competencies • Fluent in English • Excellent communication skills with the ability to: • Explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders • Discuss technical and commercial solutions with internal and external parties
