We are seeking a highly creative and technically proficient Product Designer to join our Merchandise team. This pivotal role requires blending a strong design background with deep product sensibility to create compelling, trend-forward merchandise that resonates with our target audience. Key Responsibilities • Design Direction: Produce high-quality, brand-aligned design briefs for external design agencies, ensuring a cohesive design direction across seasonal and core collections. • Agency Management: On-board and manage external design partners, establishing an operating rhythm of regular check-ins and feedback to ensure efficient, high-quality, and on-brand delivery. • Production Readiness: Deliver precise, error-free design files and tech packs to manufacturing partners, and support the sourcing team on sample development and sign-offs. • Internal Projects: Design and execute special internal projects and speed-to-market programs. Required Qualifications & Skills • Experience: 10-13 years of relevant experience in merchandise design, apparel graphics, or product design within a premium fashion brand. • Education: B. Des. / M. Des. (Apparel design, Graphic design) from a Premier institute. • Technical Proficiency: • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign). • Experience with 3D design software (e.g., CLO 3D, Blender) or CAD is a strong plus. • Exceptional eye for typography, color theory, layout, and print/pattern development. • Strong understanding of print techniques (screen print, sublimation, embroidery, etc.), fabrications, and how graphic designs translate onto physical products. • Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating a versatile and commercial design aesthetic is mandatory. • Communication: Excellent verbal and visual communication skills, essential for clearly articulating creative visions to agencies and cross-functional stakeholders.
