Position Title: Head – SAP ERP & Enterprise Systems Location: Gurugram / New Delhi NCR, India Reports To: Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) Position Purpose: Lead the strategic vision, architectural governance, and operational execution of Hero MotoCorp’s enterprise system landscape. This leadership role mandates direct expertise in SAP S/4HANA core modules to drive manufacturing, supply chain, financial, and commercial transformation across multi-plant facilities and distribution networks. Key Responsibilities: S/4HANA Core & Enterprise Strategy: Direct the continuous evolution, modernization, and migration strategy for SAP S/4HANA, integrating core business processes across plants, corporate offices, and global operations. Module-Level Technical Governance: Provide deep functional and architectural oversight across key SAP S/4HANA functional streams, ensuring best-practice configuration, minimal custom code, and optimal system performance. Supply Chain & Operations Integration: Drive seamless connectivity between SAP S/4HANA (PP, MM, SD, FICO, SCM) and shop-floor technologies (MES, Industry 4.0/IoT), R&D (PLM), and distribution/dealer interfaces. Program & Delivery Leadership: Lead end-to-end program delivery, system rollouts, greenfield/brownfield migrations, and cloud solutions on time and within budget. Enterprise Architecture & Innovation: Integrate modern enterprise components (SAP BTP, Fiori, Analytics Cloud, AI/ML tools, APIs) into the core S/4HANA digital core. Strategic Partner & Vendor Management: Direct relationships, SLAs, and commercial contracts with SAP, global Systems Integrators (SIs), cloud providers, and third-party software vendors. Risk, Compliance & Operations: Ensure 99.9%+ system availability for critical manufacturing processes while maintaining compliance with SOX, data security standards, and local regulatory frameworks. Team Leadership & Capability Building: Build and lead a high-performing internal enterprise team across S/4HANA streams, mentoring in-house talent and managing external consultant networks. Candidate Profile: Mandated Requirements Total Experience 18+ years of progressive experience in Enterprise Systems & IT Leadership. Education Charted Accountant / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology (CS, IT, Mechanical, ECE) required. MBA from a top-tier institution preferred, but not mandatory Target Industry Background in Automobile, Manufacturing, FMCG, or Pharma sectors with high-volume, multi-site operational complexities. S/4HANA Core Expertise: In-depth functional in at least two major SAP S/4HANA modules (e.g., S/4HANA PP, MM, SD, or FICO). Implementation Scale: Led at least 1 end-to-end full life-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations or large-scale ECC-to-S/4HANA migrations in complex enterprise environments. Team Leadership : Demonstrated success leading matrix teams of 20+ internal IT professionals and vendor resources.
