Department: Neurology Designation: Associate Consultant – Neurology Employment Type: Full Time Qualification • MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine followed by DM/DrNB/DNB in Neurology from a recognized institution. • Valid registration with NMC/State Medical Council. Key Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive OPD, IPD, ICU and emergency neurology consultations. • Diagnose and manage neurological conditions including stroke, epilepsy, headache disorders, vertigo, neuropathies, movement disorders, neuroinfections and neurodegenerative disorders. • Manage acute neurological emergencies, including acute stroke, seizures and other neurocritical cases. • Conduct detailed neurological examinations and formulate appropriate treatment plans. • Review and interpret CT/MRI brain, EEG, EMG/NCV and other relevant investigations. • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically indicated. • Coordinate with Neurosurgery, Critical Care, Emergency, Radiology, Rehabilitation and other multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care. • Provide appropriate counselling to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and follow-up. • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, consultation notes, prescriptions and discharge summaries. • Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, departmental meetings, CMEs and academic activities. • Support clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practices. • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, patient safety standards, infection control practices and ethical guidelines. • Guide and support residents and junior medical staff in patient management. • Contribute to the development and growth of neurology services within the hospital.
