Position Senior Resident – Anaesthesia Department Anaesthesia Reports To Consultant / Head of Department – Anaesthesia Qualification • MBBS from a recognized institution. • MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology from a recognized university. • Valid National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council registration. Experience • Fresh MD/DNB graduates or candidates with up to 3 years of experience in Anaesthesia. Key Responsibilities • Administer general, regional, and local anaesthesia for elective and emergency surgical procedures. • Conduct pre-anaesthetic evaluation and formulate anaesthesia plans. • Monitor patients intra-operatively and manage anaesthesia-related complications. • Provide post-operative care, including pain management and patient monitoring. • Manage critically ill patients in ICU and emergency settings as required. • Respond promptly to emergency situations, including trauma and code blue calls. • Assist consultants in complex surgical procedures and high-risk cases. • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and anaesthesia records. • Ensure adherence to NABH, infection control, patient safety, and quality protocols. • Participate in departmental academic activities, CMEs, audits, and clinical meetings. • Supervise and guide junior residents, interns, and nursing staff when required. • Perform duties as per the departmental roster, including night shifts, weekends, and emergency calls.
