• Dispensing medicines Dispense prescription and non-prescription medicines accurately and safely. • Patient counselling – Explain how to take medicines, dosage, duration, side effects, precautions, and storage. • Checking prescriptions – Review prescriptions for incorrect doses, drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications. • Drug information – Provide reliable information about medicines to patients and healthcare professionals. • Promoting rational drug use – Ensure medicines are used appropriately, safely, and cost-effectively. • Monitoring adverse drug reactions – Identify, document, and report harmful effects of medicines. • Medication therapy management – Monitor patients' medication regimens and help improve treatment outcomes. • Health education and promotion – Educate patients about disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, vaccination, and proper medicine use. • Patient safety – Help prevent medication errors such as wrong drug, dose, route, or frequency. • Inventory management – Maintain adequate medicine stocks and ensure proper storage and expiry-date control. • Collaboration with healthcare professionals – Work with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to improve patient care. • Public health services – Participate in vaccination programs, screening services, health campaigns, and community healthcare activities. • Clinical pharmacy services – Participate in ward rounds, therapeutic drug monitoring, antimicrobial stewardship, and clinical decision-making. • Record keeping and legal responsibilities – Maintain accurate records and follow pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards.
