Job Purpose To ensure seamless production planning, material availability, inventory optimization, and cross-functional coordination for achieving customer demand fulfillment, production targets, and business objectives. Key Responsibilities Demand Planning & S&OP • Analyze customer forecasts, sales trends, and market demand to prepare production plans. • Drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process through coordination with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams. • Balance demand and manufacturing capacity to ensure optimum resource utilization. • Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans. Production Planning & Scheduling • Prepare and release production schedules based on customer requirements and plant capacity. • Monitor adherence to production plans and take corrective actions to address deviations. • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth execution of production schedules. • Identify bottlenecks and implement actions to improve production flow. Supply & Material Alignment • Ensure timely availability of raw materials, bought-out parts, consumables, and packaging materials. • Coordinate with procurement, stores, and suppliers for uninterrupted material supply. • Track material shortages and proactively resolve supply constraints. • Manage engineering changes and their impact on material planning. Inventory Management • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. • Optimize inventory while maintaining required service levels. • Improve inventory turnover and reduce excess/obsolete inventory. • Conduct regular inventory analysis and implement inventory control measures. ERP Management • Maintain planning parameters, BOMs, routing data, and master data in ERP systems. • Ensure accurate transaction processing and data integrity. • Generate reports and dashboards from ERP systems for planning and management review. • Support ERP process improvements and system enhancements. Performance Monitoring & Reporting • Monitor key KPIs such as Plan Adherence, Schedule Adherence, Inventory Turns, OTD, Capacity Utilization, and Material Availability. • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports. • Conduct root cause analysis for planning deviations and implement corrective actions. • Present performance reports and improvement initiatives to management. Cross-Functional Coordination • Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Sales, and Engineering teams. • Participate in capacity planning and new product introduction activities. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency and operational performance.
