Designation: Program Manager Department: Program Development Function: Program Management Reporting To: National Head Operations & Implementation Job Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu Experience: 5 to 10 Years Education: Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management, or a related field Workdays: 6 Days a Week Working Hours: 8 Hours per Day Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead and manage end-to-end healthcare projects, ensuring timely execution, operational excellence, quality service delivery, and achievement of project objectives and KPIs. The role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with clients and government stakeholders, monitoring project performance, and driving continuous improvement across healthcare programs. Key Responsibilities • Manage the end-to-end execution of healthcare projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery of project objectives. • Develop and implement detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets in line with organizational and donor requirements. • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including doctors, paramedics, lab technicians, field staff, and community health workers. • Monitor project performance through MIS reports, KPIs, performance reviews, field visits, and regular project assessments. • Identify operational challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement timely corrective actions to ensure smooth project execution. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, government departments, healthcare providers, community leaders, and other key stakeholders. • Conduct regular project reviews with senior management and prepare project reports, dashboards, and performance updates for internal and external stakeholders. • Lead staff training, capacity building, and team development initiatives to improve operational effectiveness. • Ensure compliance with healthcare quality standards, safety regulations, statutory requirements, and guidelines issued by relevant health authorities. • Manage project budgets effectively and ensure cost optimization and efficient utilization of resources. • Coordinate and oversee procurement of medical supplies, equipment, and other project requirements. • Drive process improvement, innovation, and operational excellence to enhance healthcare service delivery and project outcomes. • Ensure effective communication and coordination between field teams, project teams, management, and external stakeholders. • Ensure project activities are aligned with organizational objectives, contractual commitments, and agreed KPIs. Required Skills • Strong Program/Project Management and team leadership skills. • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. • Strong problem-solving, analytical, decision-making, and execution capabilities. • Experience in managing large-scale healthcare or public health projects. • Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and work in challenging field environments. • Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, MIS, and reporting systems. • Strong documentation, presentation, and reporting skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Education & Experience • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management, Hospital Management, or a related discipline. • 5–8 years of relevant experience in healthcare/public health program or project management. • Experience managing healthcare projects in rural, remote, underserved, or community-based environments will be preferred. • Experience working with government agencies, healthcare organizations, NGOs, corporate clients, or donor-funded projects will be an added advantage. Language Requirements Candidate should be able to Speak, Read, and Write in: • English • Hindi • Regional Language (Tamil preferred) Working Conditions • Willingness to work as per organizational and project requirements. • Flexibility to undertake field visits and travel as required for project implementation. • Strong professional communication and coordination skills are essential, particularly in a Telehealth/Healthcare project environment.
