**Position: Head of Quality** **Work Location: Mysore** **Industry: Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS)** **Job Summary:** The Quality Head is responsible for defining, implementing, and sustaining quality standards across all manufacturing and operational processes to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products to customers. This role provides strategic leadership for the Quality function, establishes quality objectives, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to support long-term business success and customer satisfaction. The position holder is accountable for ensuring compliance with internal quality systems, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards, while fostering a culture of quality across the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** **Quality Strategy & Governance** - Establish quality objectives, policies, and procedures aligned with business goals and customer requirements - Review and continuously improve existing quality standards, systems, and policies - Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and customer-specific quality standards **Operational Quality Management** - Devise and implement procedures to inspect, monitor, and report quality issues - Monitor all manufacturing and operational processes that impact product quality - Ensure reliability and consistency of production through process audits and final product inspections - Review quality reports, statistical data, and relevant documentation to identify trends and risks **Leadership & Team Development** - Guide, mentor, and monitor managers and staff on quality standards and best practices - Build a strong quality culture through leadership, training, and cross-functional collaboration **Customer & Stakeholder Management** - Evaluate customer quality requirements and ensure they are fully met - Establish quality standards in consultation with customers and internal management - Address customer complaints and drive corrective and preventive actions **Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement** - Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to facilitate proactive problem-solving - Implement quality control and improvement initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and costs - Design and maintain control systems that support production planning and quality assurance **Cross-functional & External Interface** - Report quality issues and malfunctions to the Production team for immediate corrective action - Coordinate with external quality assurance bodies and auditors during on-site inspections - Act as the primary interface for quality-related discussions with customers and external agencies **Orientation / Competencies** - Strong leadership and team-building capabilities - Deep understanding of quality systems and methodologies - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Strong numerical ability with knowledge of statistical and data analysis tools - Results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset **Qualification & Experience** - Engineering Degree (Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical or related discipline) - 2025 years of experience in the **Electronics Manufacturing Industry (EMS preferred)** - Extensive experience in Quality Management Systems, audits, and customer quality management
