SAP Master Data Manager

Role Overview Were looking for someone who can take ownership of master data in our SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environment and keep it reliable, structured, and aligned with how the business operates. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, production, and ERP. You will work closely with business and functional teams to ensure that master data is created correctly, maintained consistently, and supports our Engineer-to-Order (ETO) workflows from design through manufacturing. What You’ll Be Responsible For Master Data Ownership & Governance - Create, maintain, and update key master data objects: Material Master, BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, and Business Partners - Ensure data is accurate, consistent, and usable across modules (MM, PP, PS) - Follow and help enforce defined data standards, naming conventions, and structures - Act as the first line of control for data quality issues S/4HANA Public Cloud (GROW) Operations - Work within SAP best practices and standard processes (no heavy customization mindset) - Support configuration-aligned data structures rather than workaround-driven data ETO Process Support - Structure master data to support Engineer-to-Order workflows - Work with engineering and production teams to ensure smooth handoff from design to manufacturing Cross-Functional Coordination - Collaborate with PP, MM, and PS teams to ensure master data supports planning, costing, and execution - Support Project Systems (PS) data needs like WBS-linked materials and activities Data Migration & Bulk Maintenance - Support data upload, cleansing, and migration using tools like Migration Cockpit, MDG, or similar tools - Validate data during system rollouts or new project onboarding Data Quality & Continuous Improvement - Identify recurring data issues and fix root causes - Support simple validation rules and checks to improve data reliability over time What We’re Looking For Core SAP Experience - 3–5 years working with SAP S/4HANA master data (preferably Public Cloud / GROW) - Strong hands-on experience with Material Master, BOMs, Routings, and Work Centers Functional Understanding - Good understanding of PP and MM processes - Basic working knowledge of Project Systems (PS) and how master data impacts costing and execution Tools & Data Handling - Experience with data upload and migration tools (Migration Cockpit, MDG, LSMW, or similar) - Comfortable working with large datasets and structured templates Industry Exposure (Preferred) - Experience in steel, fabrication, PEB, or discrete manufacturing environments - Familiarity with Engineer-to-Order (ETO) setups is a strong advantage How You Work - Detail-oriented and structured in your approach - Keen interest in learning and scaling knowledge in new technologies - Able to work across teams and clarify data requirements - Comfortable working in a fast-moving, build-from-scratch environment Nice to Have - Exposure to SAP Variant Configuration (VC) - Experience integrating SAP with CAD/engineering tools - SAP certification(s)
