Job Title: Senior Backbone Transmission Network Engineer Key Skills: LAN/WAN, Network design, VLAN, CCNA, MPLS, IP Routing, BGP, NAT, OSPF Roles and Responsibilities: • Develop preliminary and detailed backbone transmission network design specifications in line with engineering rules and project requirements. • Define network dimensioning, addressing, and interface requirements for backbone transmission solutions. • Prepare design documentation, BoQ inputs, and technical room survey outputs for network deployment readiness. • Support installation, test, commissioning, and functional validation activities for backbone network elements. • Review technical issues, track change requests, and coordinate design gaps with product and project engineering teams. Skills Required: • 5-8 years of relevant network design and engineering experience. • Strong hands-on experience in LAN/WAN design, VLANs, and network design elaboration. • Architecture and deployment experience with Gigabit Ethernet and IP-MPLS solutions. • Solid understanding of IP routing, QoS, network security, and cybersecurity concepts. • Experience with network monitoring systems, traffic analysis, and end-to-end validation in telecom environments. Good to Have: • NAT, BGP, OSPF, CCNP, CCIE, fiber deployments, and troubleshooting experience. • Exposure to wireless systems, radio, railway signaling, and major telecom vendor platforms. Education : B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, or equivalent engineering/science degree.
