Underwriting Manager

Key Responsibilities Financial Analysis & Reporting • Conduct detailed analysis of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. • Perform ratio calculations (liquidity, solvency, profitability, efficiency) to assess financial health. • Evaluate financial parameters such as ROE, ROA, EBITDA margins, debt-equity ratios, and working capital cycles. • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders. Equity Market & Investment Advisory • Monitor equity share markets, analyze sectoral performance, and identify investment opportunities. • Provide valuation insights using DCF, P/E, and other models. • Support portfolio management decisions with risk-return analysis and market trend forecasting. Risk Management & Underwriting • Assess and manage financial risks in domestic and international markets. • Conduct export underwriting, evaluating trade risks and compliance with global standards. • Collaborate with insurance firms (Tata AIG, ICICI Lombard, Atradius, Coface) to manage underwriting processes. • Evaluate creditworthiness using CIBIL scores and other credit scoring models. Required Skills & Competencies • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with expertise in ratio analysis. • Deep understanding of equity markets, investment strategies, and valuation techniques. • Knowledge of export underwriting and credit risk assessment. • Familiarity with CIBIL score evaluation and its impact on lending decisions. • Ability to integrate legal and financial perspectives for strategic decision-making. • Effective communication and presentation skills. • Risk-taking abilities balanced with sound judgment.
