Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Manager / Senior Manager EV Systems Validation & Integration to lead the validation, testing, and integration of EV systems including Battery Packs, Chargers, BMS, IoT, Controllers, and Speedometers across L5 vehicles and Electric Two-Wheelers. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in EV architecture, CAN communication, validation planning, and cross-functional product development. Key Responsibilities 1. New Product Development • Lead validation activities for new EV products from concept to production. • Define product validation strategies and test plans for EV systems. • Drive prototype builds, engineering validation, and design verification. • Coordinate with Design, Software, Hardware, and Manufacturing teams for product development. 2. EV Architecture & System Integration • Lead system integration of Battery Packs, BMS, Chargers, Controllers, IoT, and Speedometers. • Review electrical architecture and interface compatibility across vehicle subsystems. • Validate communication between all ECUs and vehicle components. • Support system-level troubleshooting during development and vehicle integration. 3. Validation & Testing • Lead functional, electrical, environmental, and reliability testing of Battery Packs, Chargers, BMS, Controllers, IoT devices, and Speedometers. • Define DVPs, validation plans, and acceptance criteria for EV systems. • Validate products across Electric Two-Wheeler and L5 vehicle platforms. • Ensure compliance with applicable automotive and regulatory standards. 4. CAN Protocol Development & Validation • Develop and review CAN Communication Matrix and CAN Database (DBC). • Define CAN messages, signals, diagnostics, and communication requirements. • Validate CAN communication using Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, or equivalent tools. • Troubleshoot communication failures and support ECU integration activities. 5. Battery System & BMS • Lead validation of Battery Management System functions, including SOC, SOH, cell balancing, thermal protection, and fault diagnostics. • Validate battery charging/discharging behaviour under different operating conditions. • Review battery safety strategies and protection mechanisms. • Support battery performance benchmarking and technology evaluation. 6. IoT & Connected Vehicle Systems • Validate IoT hardware integration with Battery Management Systems. • Verify cloud communication, OTA firmware updates, and data logging functionality. • Support peer-to-peer communication architecture and remote diagnostics. • Ensure seamless integration between IoT devices and vehicle electronics. 7. Technical Documentation • Prepare system specifications, validation reports, and technical documentation. • Review functional requirements, interface specifications, and design documents. • Develop validation procedures and test reports. • Ensure complete technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle. 8. Cross Functional Leadership • Coordinate with suppliers for component validation and technical issue resolution. • Support engineering change implementation and design optimization. • Mentor technical teams and drive project execution. Educational Qualification • B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Automobile Engineering, or equivalent. • 1015 years of experience in EV product development, validation, and system integration. • Experience in battery systems, electric two-wheeler manufacturing, or L5 vehicle development is highly preferred. • Exposure to battery systems, embedded systems, and vehicle communication protocols is essential. Technical Skills • Strong understanding of EV architecture and vehicle system integration. • Expertise in Battery Packs, BMS, Chargers, Controllers, IoT, and Speedometers. • Hands-on experience with CAN Protocol, CAN FD, UDS Diagnostics, DBC development, and Vector CANoe/CANalyzer. • Experience in validation planning (DVP), HIL testing, SIL, and vehicle-level testing. • Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, Embedded Systems, and Model-Based Development. • Familiarity with AIS-156, AIS-038, IEC 62660, ISO 26262, and UN38.3 standards. • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and technical reporting.
