**Role Overview** We are seeking an experienced **Vehicle Quality Inspector (2W)** to ensure that electric two-wheelers meet defined quality, safety, reliability, and regulatory standards prior to customer delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive quality inspection, preferably within the Electric Vehicle (EV) industry, with strong expertise in vehicle assembly, electrical systems, battery systems, testing, and End-of-Line (EOL) quality audits. **Key Responsibilities** **1. Vehicle Inspection & Quality Assurance** - Conduct comprehensive quality inspections of electric two-wheelers across production stages and pre-dispatch activities. - Perform End-of-Line (EOL) inspections to verify vehicle functionality, fit and finish, and compliance with quality standards. - Inspect mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, including motors, controllers, battery packs, wiring harnesses, lighting systems, and instrument clusters. - Verify adherence to approved specifications, engineering drawings, process standards, and work instructions. - Identify defects, non-conformities, and quality concerns, ensuring timely corrective actions and closure. **2. Testing & Validation** - Perform static and dynamic vehicle inspections, including road testing where applicable. - Validate critical vehicle parameters such as braking performance, suspension functionality, charging performance, electrical safety, and diagnostic health. - Conduct battery and charging system inspections, including connector integrity and safety compliance checks. - Verify software versions, diagnostic fault codes, and system functionality using approved diagnostic tools. **3. Quality Documentation & Reporting** - Maintain inspection records, quality reports, and defect-tracking databases. - Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support root cause analysis activities. - Monitor quality trends and recommend process improvements to enhance product quality. - Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and documentation requirements. **4. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement** - Participate in root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, and Pareto Analysis. - Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Service teams to resolve quality issues. - Support implementation and verification of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve First Pass Yield (FPY). **5. Supplier & Incoming Quality Support** - Perform incoming quality inspections of EV components and assemblies as required. - Support supplier quality audits and validation of corrective actions. - Monitor quality performance of critical components, including batteries, motors, controllers, chargers, and wiring harnesses. **Quality Tools & Methodologies** - APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) - PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) - FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) - Control Plan - MSA (Measurement System Analysis) - 8D Problem Solving - 7 QC Tools - CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) **Educational Qualification** - B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. **Experience Requirements** - 4-7 years of experience in Vehicle Quality Inspection, Manufacturing Quality, Product Quality, or EV Quality Assurance. - Prior experience in Electric Two-Wheeler manufacturing is highly preferred. - Strong understanding of vehicle assembly processes, quality standards, and inspection methodologies. **Key Skills & Competencies** **Technical Skills** - Strong knowledge of Electric Vehicle (EV) architecture and systems. - Understanding of Lithium-Ion battery systems, Battery Management Systems (BMS), motor controllers, and charging systems. - Familiarity with automotive quality tools and quality management methodologies. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, technical specifications, and process documentation. - Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, multimeters, torque auditing equipment, and quality measurement instruments. - Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standards. - Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and quality reporting systems. **Desired Competencies** - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Sound understanding of EV systems and manufacturing processes. - Excellent root cause analysis and troubleshooting capabilities. - Effective communication and technical reporting skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Service. - High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
