Area Legal Manager - Legal Bad Debt Legal Recovery Management • Handle legal recovery cases pertaining to bad debt and write-off accounts. • Initiate and monitor legal proceedings under applicable laws and recovery mechanisms. • Ensure timely filing and follow-up of recovery suits, arbitration cases, execution petitions, and other legal actions. • Track progress of legal cases and drive resolution through regular follow-up with advocates. Stakeholder Management • Liaise with panel advocates, law enforcement authorities, courts, and government agencies. • Coordinate with branch, collection, and operations teams for legal recovery initiatives. • Provide legal guidance to field recovery teams on recovery-related matters. Portfolio Monitoring • Monitor legal recovery performance and achievement against assigned recovery targets. • Analyze case status and identify opportunities for accelerated recovery. • Maintain MIS and case trackers for management review. Compliance & Documentation • Ensure all legal actions are undertaken in compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. • Verify legal documentation and maintain case records. • Support audit and compliance reviews related to legal recovery activities. Risk Management • Identify legal risks in recovery processes and recommend corrective measures. • Ensure adherence to ethical recovery practices and regulatory guidelines.
