Job Summary: Manipal Hospitals is looking for an experienced Operation Theatre (OT) Scrub Nurse to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining a sterile operating room, assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring the availability of instruments and supplies, and delivering safe, high-quality patient care. Candidates with Orthopaedic OT or Cardiac OT (Open Heart Surgery) experience will be given preference. Role & responsibilities • Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room. • Arrange surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies. • Assist surgeons by passing instruments during surgery. • Monitor patients' vital signs throughout procedures. • Follow strict infection control and aseptic techniques. • Document surgical procedures and patient observations. • Educate patients and families on pre- and post-operative care. • Work closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals. • Participate in ongoing training and professional development. Preferred candidate profile • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license. • Experience in OT or surgical nursing (preferred). • Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. • Attention to detail and adherence to hospital protocols. • BLS and ACLS certification. • Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records).
