Automation Test Engineer

Job description

Role: Test Automation engineer: Responsibilities: • Analyze requirements, design test scenarios, and create test cases • Execute manual and automated tests for desktop, web, mobile, and cloud platforms • Perform API and UI testing to validate functionality and user experience • Develop and maintain BDD/Cucumber test automation scripts • Identify, document, and triage defects • Establish traceability and test coverage • Manage test data and collaborate with cross-functional teams Required(must) Skills: • 6-8 years in manual and automation testing • Strong expertise in Java, Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid • BDD/Cucumber framework experience (feature files, step definitions) • API testing (REST Assured, Postman) • UI testing across browsers and devices • Strong SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server) • Proficient with Jira/Azure DevOps, GitHub, TestNG/Junit etc. • Understanding of SDLC, test lifecycle, and defect management Interpersonal skills to succeed in the role: • Excellent communication skills • Detail-oriented and quality-conscious • Team player with ability to work across time zones • Quick learner, works well under pressure • Willing to travel when necessary Nice to Have: • CI/CD experience (Jenkins, Azure Pipelines) • Performance testing (JMeter) • Agile/Scrum knowledge • ISTQB certification • AWS experience B Responsibilities: • Analyze requirements, design test scenarios, and create test cases • Execute manual and automated tests for desktop, web, mobile, and cloud platforms • Perform API and UI testing to validate functionality and user experience • Develop and maintain BDD/Cucumber test automation scripts • Identify, document, and triage defects • Establish traceability and test coverage • Manage test data and collaborate with cross-functional teams
