Cloud Engineer

Job description

Role & responsibilities • Design, develop and maintain cloud-native applications and platform solutions using Golang. • Build and support scalable, secure and highly available solutions on AWS. • Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. • Work with Kubernetes deployments, services, configurations and troubleshooting. • Use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and automate cloud infrastructure provisioning. • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments. • Develop reusable cloud platform capabilities and self-service solutions to support engineering teams. • Implement cloud security, networking, monitoring and operational best practices. • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis to improve reliability. • Collaborate with development squads, architects and platform teams in an Agile environment. • Help reduce manual/undifferentiated engineering work by improving developer tooling and cloud enablement. Preferred candidate profile • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering or Software Engineering. • Strong hands-on experience with Golang, particularly building containerized/cloud-native applications. • Strong experience with AWS and cloud architecture fundamentals. • Hands-on expertise with Docker and Kubernetes. • Strong experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code. • Good understanding of CI/CD and deployment automation. • Experience with Python is preferred. • Exposure to Node.js or Java is an added advantage. • Strong understanding of cloud security, scalability, networking and production troubleshooting. • Experience building developer platforms, reusable tooling or self-service cloud solutions is a plus. • Financial services/retail banking experience is preferred. • Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
