**Job Description Manager - Corporate Affairs** **Location:** Chennai **Business:** Solar Cell & Module Manufacturing **Department:** Corporate Affairs **Role Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Corporate Affairs professional to lead all government relations, statutory liaisoning, regulatory approvals, and external stakeholder engagement for our Greenfield Solar Cell & Module Manufacturing Project. The role will be responsible for obtaining all necessary approvals, coordinating with Central and State Government departments, managing policy-related matters, facilitating infrastructure support, and ensuring smooth execution of the manufacturing project from land acquisition through commissioning and operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong relationships with government authorities, industrial development agencies, utilities, and regulatory bodies, along with experience in manufacturing, renewable energy, industrial projects, or large-scale infrastructure developments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Liaise with Central, State, and Local Government authorities to obtain statutory approvals and ensure regulatory compliance for Greenfield manufacturing projects. - Manage approvals related to land, factory licenses, environmental clearances, fire NOCs, utility connections, and other statutory requirements. - Drive Government incentive applications, including PLI, state industrial policies, subsidies, and other manufacturing benefits. - Coordinate with utility providers and infrastructure agencies to support project development and plant operations. - Build and maintain strong relationships with government departments, regulatory authorities, industrial bodies, and local stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. **External Relations:** - Represent the company before government agencies. - Coordinate official inspections. - Handle government delegations and visits. - Build strong relationships with policy makers and industry bodies. - Support leadership during high-level government interactions. **Compliance Management:** - Ensure timely submission of statutory filings. - Monitor validity of all licenses and approvals. - Coordinate renewal of statutory permits. - Maintain approval tracker for project activities. - Ensure compliance with applicable Central and State regulations. **Risk Management:** - Identify regulatory risks affecting project timelines. - Escalate approval bottlenecks. - Develop mitigation plans. - Support dispute resolution with authorities. - Ensure uninterrupted project execution through proactive engagement. **Required Qualifications:** - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Law, Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, or related discipline. **Experience:** - 1018 years of experience in Corporate Affairs, Government Relations, Liaisoning, or Regulatory Affairs. - Experience in Greenfield manufacturing projects. - Experience in Solar, Renewable Energy, Electronics Manufacturing, Industrial Manufacturing, EPC, Infrastructure, Steel, Cement, Automotive, Semiconductor, or Large Manufacturing Projects preferred. - Experience handling government approvals from project inception through commissioning.
