The Deputy Manager will support the planning, execution, and monitoring of operational and strategic initiatives within their assigned business unit or function. Daily responsibilities may include coordinating cross-functional activities, analyzing performance data, preparing management reports, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards. This role will also involve supporting process improvements, assisting in project management, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve business targets. The Deputy Manager is expected to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, uphold JSW Steel’s sustainability and operational excellence goals, and provide guidance to team members as needed. **Qualifications** - Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and use of MS Excel/PowerPoint or similar tools to support decision-making and performance tracking. - Experience in operations, production, or process management within manufacturing, engineering, or related industrial environments. - Knowledge of quality, safety, and compliance standards, with the ability to implement and monitor relevant procedures. - Project coordination or project management skills, including planning, resource coordination, and status tracking. - Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels. - Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and timelines. - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage. - Experience in the steel or heavy manufacturing sector is preferred; familiarity with sustainability-driven operations is beneficial.
