Executive - Jig & Fixture Maintenance

Job description

Role & responsibilities • Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of welding jigs, fixtures, gauges, and tooling. • Ensure smooth functioning and availability of jigs & fixtures to meet production targets. • Troubleshoot fixture-related issues and minimize production downtime. • Perform alignment, calibration, repair, and modification of jigs and fixtures as per production requirements. • Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Tool Room teams for continuous improvement activities. • Analyze recurring failures and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). • Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and documentation. • Support new fixture installation, trials, and commissioning activities. • Ensure compliance with TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and safety standards across the shop floor. • Monitor spare parts availability and raise requirements for critical tooling components. • Participate in process improvement and cost-reduction projects. • Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality compliance of welding and assembly fixtures. Preferred candidate profile • Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, or Tool Engineering. • 3-8 years of experience in Jig & Fixture Maintenance within the automotive manufacturing industry. • Hands-on exposure to welding fixtures, assembly fixtures, gauges, and tooling maintenance. • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. • Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T specifications. • Experience with TPM, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, and 5S practices.
