**Job Description:** Utility Engineer / Senior Engineer **Position Title:** Utility Engineer / Senior Utility Engineer (Plant Facilities) **Department:** Facilities / Utilities Management **Employment Type:** Full-Time **Role Summary** We are looking for a highly skilled and cross-functional **Utility Engineer / Senior Engineer** to oversee the complete spectrum of our facility's electrical, mechanical, and water treatment utilities. The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on experience managing everything from high-voltage substations to clean room HVAC and Ultra-Pure Water systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring 100% uptime, safety, and efficiency of the plant's foundational infrastructure. **Key Responsibilities** **1. High-Voltage & Electrical Infrastructure** - **Substation Management:** Operate and maintain 66 KV / 220 KV main receiving substations, ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the facility. - **Power Distribution:** Manage HT (High Tension) and LT (Low Tension) transformers, switchgears, and power distribution networks. - **Internal Distribution:** Oversee Busbar Trunking (BBT) systems, plant-wide lighting infrastructure, and emergency power backup systems. **2. Mechanical & Clean Room Systems** - **HVAC & Clean Rooms:** Manage complex HVAC systems and maintain strict clean room parameters (temperature, relative humidity, pressure cascading, and particle counts). - **Cooling & Exhaust:** Operate and optimize Chiller plants, Process Cooling Water (PCW) systems, and Process Exhaust (PEX) networks. - **Pneumatics:** Oversee Clean Dry Air (CDA) compressor systems and distribution lines to support manufacturing equipment. **3. Water & Wastewater Management (UPW / ETP / ZLD)** - **Ultra-Pure Water (UPW):** Manage the continuous generation, filtration, and distribution of UPW to meet stringent process quality standards. - **Environmental Compliance:** Oversee the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and ensure the facility strictly adheres to Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) norms and local environmental regulations. **4. Operations, Maintenance & Safety** - **Preventive Maintenance:** Execute daily utility logs, routine inspections, and comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules across all MEP systems. - **Troubleshooting:** Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for utility breakdowns to minimize mean time to repair (MTTR). - **Vendor Management:** Supervise AMC contractors, third-party service providers, and shift technicians. - **EHS Compliance:** Ensure all utility operations comply with internal Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines, particularly concerning high-voltage areas and chemical dosing in water treatment. **Qualifications & Experience** - **Education:** B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. - **Experience:** - *Engineer:* 47 years of relevant experience in continuous manufacturing or high-tech facilities. - *Senior Engineer:* 8–12 years of experience with proven team leadership and complex troubleshooting capabilities. - **Certifications (Highly Preferred):** A valid Electrical Supervisory License for handling HT/EHV installations (66KV/220KV).
