Overview of the Role As a Technical Lead specializing in ETL technologies, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, developing, and optimizing data integration solutions using Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IICS/IDMC. You will provide technical leadership to a talented team, ensure best practices are followed, and enable efficient data flows critical to our clients digital transformation initiatives. Your expertise will directly impact the success of enterprise data projects and contribute to HCLTech’s reputation for delivering best-in-class technology solutions. Detailed Responsibilities • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the ETL development team, defining and advocating coding standards and best practices. • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IICS/IDMC. • Utilize PowerExchange for data integration, ensuring seamless connectivity with Oracle and SQL Server databases. • Write, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading. • Develop and manage job scheduling using Control-M and automate processes through UNIX/Linux scripting. • Troubleshoot data integration and performance issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, business analysts, and QA, to deliver high-quality data solutions. • Participate in technical discussions, feasibility studies, and architecture reviews to ensure alignment with project goals and technical standards. • Prepare and submit regular status reports, proactively managing risks and escalations within assigned modules. • Mentor and guide team members to enhance technical skills and increase overall productivity. • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows with a focus on scalability, performance, and reusability using Informatica PowerCenter and IICS/IDMC. • Demonstrate proficiency in using PowerExchange for enterprise data integration scenarios. • Engage with cloud data platforms and modern data integration tools to support hybrid and cloud-based data environments. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and adherence to best practices in data integration and ETL development. • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data integration, cloud platforms, and modern ETL tools to ensure solutions remain current and effective. • Develop, implement, and optimize ETL workflows with a focus on scalability, performance, and reusability using Informatica PowerCenter and IICS/IDMC. • Demonstrate expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining complex ETL workflows, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards. • Leverage PowerExchange for enterprise data integration scenarios, ensuring seamless data connectivity and transfer. • Collaborate with cloud data platforms and modern data integration tools to support hybrid and cloud-based data environments. • Lead efforts in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning of ETL processes and data flows. • Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and adherence to data governance and security standards in all data integration activities. Skill Requirements Technical Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. • Proven experience in ETL development with hands-on expertise in Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IICS/IDMC. • Strong proficiency with PowerExchange for data extraction and integration. • Solid experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases; ability to write, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL queries. • Proficiency in UNIX/Linux scripting for process automation. • Experience with job scheduling tools, particularly Control-M. • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance ETL workflows. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Familiarity with cloud data platforms and modern data integration scenarios is desirable. • Relevant certifications in Informatica or data integration tools are advantageous. • Experience in Agile environments and working with global teams is a plus.
