GM/AGM/Sr Manager - Procurement - Civil Material

Job description

Key Responsibilities: • Strategic Sourcing & Budgeting: Develop company-wide procurement strategies and prepare detailed material estimates aligned with structural drawings and Bill of Quantities (BOQ). • Material Acquisition: Direct high-value procurement for critical civil components, including cement, structural steel, aggregates, bitumen, and piping systems. • Vendor Management: Build strategic relationships with manufacturers and trade suppliers to ensure zero supply disruptions. • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable commercial terms, credit cycles, and milestone-linked payments to optimize project liquidity. • Quality & Compliance Control: Ensure all delivered materials meet required engineering specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. • Inventory & Logistics Oversight: Monitor consumption metrics, forecast market price trends, and prevent over-procurement across active project sites. • Team Leadership: Supervise the daily activities of the purchase department, mentor staff, and enforce digital transformation via SAP. Required Qualifications & Skills: • Education: Graduate or Bachelor's degree in Mech/Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. • Experience: 15 to 25 years of progressive procurement experience within the civil construction or infrastructure sector. • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction materials, market rate intelligence, and value engineering. • Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of SAP and advanced procurement software. • Core Competencies: Exceptional negotiation prowess, leadership skills, and cross-departmental coordination.
